Measured on the route line from OpenStreetMap data, which can be missing or out of date. Curvature is degrees of turning a mile, measured every 100 metres. On our routes they run from 6 on the E19 to 701 on the SP638.

Before you go

  • We plotted this through the towns on the N2. In places the old road has been bypassed or renumbered, so our line may leave it. The N2 route association's passport and markers show the exact road.
  • Portugal has electronic tolls on some main roads. This line keeps off them, but check if you change it.
  • Hot and exposed across the Alentejo in summer. Carry water.
