Before you go

  • The Vršič hairpins are numbered, and the ones on the north side are cobbled. They are slippery in the wet.
  • The pass can close in winter and after heavy snow. Check before you go.
  • Slovenia needs an e-vignette for its motorways. This loop keeps off them.
